City Security Services was formed, in 1993, by a number of senior managers (with an excess of 35 years experience) from within the manned guarding industry.

The company was formed due to the belief that many companies within the Security industry no longer deliver a personal and tailored service to the individual customer, it is committed to providing this type of service; a service which customer and staff alike will be proud to be associated with. It currently operates in excess of 200 security officers, on site, all across the UK via 100+ contracts.

Since its inception, City Security Services has experienced steady 'organic' growth and is currently supplying security services to a number of blue chip and commercial organisations, within the Communications, IT, Property Management, Transport and Media fields.

City Security Services are principal members of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA). The company is assessed to BS7499: 1998 the 'Code of practice for static guarding and mobile patrol services' and BS7858: 1996 'Code of practice for Security screening of personnel employed in a security environment'.

City Security Services were awarded ISO 9002 in March 1999.

To ensure continued compliance to these standards City Security Services are inspected bi-annually by the Inspectorate of the Security Industry (ISI).

City Security Services are continuing to invest in the future, with the harnessing of IT systems to manage and monitor our staff through computerised communication and monitoring systems in our control room and on our sites.

The bedrock of our company, however, will never change i.e., the investment in the recruitment, retention, training and management of our staff.
